Who does The Know Media Ltd share my personal information with?

Cookies and similar tracking technology 

• This Website uses cookies and similar technologies, which are small files or pieces of text that download to a device when a visitor accesses a website or app. For information about viewing the cookies dropped on your device, visit Squarespace support.

• We use Hotjar in order to better understand our users’ needs and to optimize this service and experience. Hotjar is a technology service that helps us better understand our users’ experience (e.g. how much time they spend on which pages, which links they choose to click, what users do and don’t like, etc.) and this enables us to build and maintain our service with user feedback. Hotjar uses cookies and other technologies to collect data on our users’ behavior and their devices. This includes a device’s IP address (processed during your session and stored in a de-identified form), device screen size, device type (unique device identifiers), browser information, geographic location (country only), and the preferred language used to display our website. Hotjar stores this information on our behalf in a pseudonymized user profile. Hotjar is contractually forbidden to sell any of the data collected on our behalf. Newsletters and email marketing

When you opt in via our website, we may send you newsletters and marketing emails, which you can unsubscribe from by clicking the link at the bottom of the email. We share your contact information with Beehiiv, our email marketing provider, so they can send these emails on our behalf. Beehiiv is a US company which means data is transferred outside of the EU. How does The Know Media Ltd keep my personal information secure?

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information that we collect and process about you.  The measures we use are designed to provide a level of security appropriate to the risk of processing your personal information.

Specifically, our Website servers are located in THE UNITED KINGDOM.    

Data retention

We retain personal information we collect from you where we have an ongoing legitimate business need to do so (for example, to provide you with a service you have requested or to comply with applicable legal, tax or accounting requirements).
